A Dog Wash Guide

We all love our dogs but when it comes to bathing them it can be a real pain. Almost no one likes the task of bathing a dog. This is because most dogs are not accustom to, and don’t really enjoy a bath. Typically they like to put a good fight. Most of us know the frustration of having to put the dog back into the bath numerous times after it refuses to stay put and wrestle it to stay there.  Unfortunately we need to take care of our dog and that requires a bath from time to time. There are some ways to make this task a little easier and finding the best option for you can make giving Fido a bath, a little less frustrating.

OPTION 1: DOG GROOMER. A dog groomer can be one of your first and best resources. Finding a dog groomer that you trust will take all of the stress off of you and relieve you permanently of your dog bathing duties. A dog groomer is not only trained to wash and groom your dog’s hair and nails, it’s also trained to handle the dog. We know how out of hand a dog that doesn’t like a bath can get, but a dog groomer has special skills and tools they can use to keep the dog under control. It will cost extra money but it can save you a lot of aggravation and be really convenient.

OPTION 2: DOG WASH. A dog wash is a business that allows you to bring your dog in and wash it yourself. They have special stall with dog restraints that can keep your dog under control and prevent it from running away. This is a good option if you want to do it yourself but don’t want to do it at home and deal with the mess.

OPTION 3: DO IT YOURSELF. You can continue to bath and groom y our dog yourself and learn some different methods in doing in. You could try going slow, being gentle, washing your dog outside, having a friend help you or rewarding your dog when it’s good during bath time. This is the longer process but if the other options aren’t available to you you’ll need to give it a try.

What every dog wash method you chose remember it’s worth it to have a healthy clean dog!
